Cristoforo Colombo Airport is the fastest way to reach Genoa, as well as  the most spectacular, since the runway is almost entirely surrounded by the sea. Landing in Genoa, flying over the promontory of Portofino welcomes you with an unforgettable view of the city!
The airport is located 7 kilometres from the city centre, to which it is connected by public transport, taxis and trains.

Passenger traffic in the Port of Genoa is regularly active.
Genoa's Ferry Terminals for cruise ship traffic, Ponte dei Mille and Ponte Andrea Doria, are located just a few minutes from both the Genova Piazza Principe railway station and the Old Port, the city's main tourist area, nestling within the historic centre.
Not far from the Cruise Terminal, there are Terminal di Calata Chiappella, Ponte Caracciolo e Ponte Colombo, designed as Ferry Terminal.
At the Ferry Terminal, ships arrive from and depart for the main ports of the Mediterranean: Olbia, Porto Torres, Palermo, Barcelona, Bastia, Tunis and Tangier.

The official language of the Assembly and the International Conference is English.


All foreign visitors must have valid passport. No visas are required for visitors from Western European countries, the United States, Japan and many Latin American and British Commonwealth countries. Citizens from other countries must have the required visas. However it is advisable to contact the Italian Consulate or Embassy in your country for information on visas and health certificates if required.


Requests for letters of invitation for visa purposes should be directed to the Organizing Secretariat. Please note that such letter can not grant any financial support.


The Organizing Secretariat cannot accept responsibility for accidents or damage to participants or accompanying persons before, during or after the Assembly and the International Conference. Participants are urged to make their own arrangements with respect to travel and health insurance.
