Primo Levi Center

The Centro Primo Levi for Italian Jewish Studies joined the Center for Jewish History in June 2003. An offspring of the Genoa-based organization of the same name, the center is dedicated to creating a growing, dynamic and contemporary forum for Italian-Jewish studies in North America. The organization operates in close collaboration with the Union of the Italian Jewish Communities and the Italian Association for Jewish Studies offering seminars and lectures, and providing a U.S. based interface and access point for the Jewish archives and libraries in Italy. The Centro offers the seminars under the auspices of New York University and seeks to expand its reach to a growing number of colleges.
